Tea Merchant and Blender - The Tea Enthusiasts
Britain is known around the world as a country that drinks tea. As the British Empire spread to countries where there was already a culture of tea drinking, such as India and China, the British enthusiastically embraced the beverage. We are now one of the worlds largest consumers of tea, initially as an upper class drink which then spread to all classes, eventually becoming a common drink and an important part of British culture. Countries like Japan are well known for their tea ceremony but maybe English Afternoon Tea could be considered in the same way. English Breakfast Tea with milk and sugars served in a mug is known widely known as Builders Tea and is a staple for workmen everywhere. Important discussions can lead to controversy over whether milk should go in first or second.
In recent years many more types of tea have become available for those who have a particular interest in the drink as have fruit teas and tisanes for those who want a different experience.

The Tea Enthusiast company is an independent tea merchant based in Dipton. They specialise in loose leaf tea and tisanes that offer new flavours and blends that suit people's lifestyles and health needs. The teas are sourced from some of the best tea gardens and plantations around the globe and the flavourings are all specially selected natural ingredients and, where possible, are organic and accredited by the Ethical Tea Partnership.
