Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. Volleyball started in USA in 1895, when William Morgan derived the game from badminton, originally calling it Mintonette. It has been adapted many times over the years and became an Olympic Sport at Tokyo in 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics and the adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball.
'Monday Night Volleyball' started with a group of friend who just wanted to train together before competition. It has since evolved, to people coming together of different abilities just to join and play the sport they love. 'Monday Night Volleyball' is a place for those who are just starting out or experienced, to just play games together.
