Consett Rugby Club
Consett Rugby Club is an amateur club formed in September 1923 and it will be celebrating its Cetenary later this year.
The club is currently running 3 senior men's teams, one veteran Mens Team - 'The Codgers' and a newly formed Women's team. They also run 14 junior and mini teams between the ages of 6-18yrs.
The Mens First XV currently play in the Northern Divison of Regional 2 North.

Training for senior teams is Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm until 8;30 pm ,
junior training is on sunday 10am until 12 midday, there is also junior training on nights from 6pm.

As a true Community Club they encourage everyone to take an active role within it whether as a player, coach, parent, supporter, sponsor, official or just a helper/volunteer. It truly is a great club to be part of.
The longest serving member is Roy Tyerman who is in his 70's, a former Captain and president . Roy has been a stalwart and is still involved in the club.
