Carpet Bowls Club - Blackhill Community Centre
The Bowls Club started on 8 July 2015 when two ladies within Blackhill and Shotley Bridge Uniting Church, wanted to provide an activity for the local community to access and enjoy. They came up with the idea of a drop-in centre and a bowls club. As Wednesday was the only free afternoon in the church, Wednesday became the day when anyone could drop in for a game or two of bowls in the hall or play board games and other games in another room.
Half-way through the afternoon the goup stop for tea and biscuits.

The club is open to anyone and everyone.
